Environmental Objectives
This document details the Environmental Objectives for Triumph power plant. Information regarding these objectives has been communicated to all interested parties and at all levels within our organisation.

Environmental Policy
We have established this Environmental Policy to be consistent with the purpose and context of our Organisation. It provides a framework for the setting and review of environmental objectives in addition to our commitment towards the following:
- Protect the environment, including the prevention of pollution;
- To sustainable resource use, climate change mitigation, protection of biodiversity and ecosystems; waste management and green house gases emission
- Conform to applicable legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations;
- Continually improve our Environmental Management System and to enhance environmental performance.
We have produced environmental objectives which relate to this policy and they can be found in document EMP-TPG-EO1 (Environmental Objectives.) in our EMS Manual.
This policy is communicated to all interested parties as well as being made available to the wider community through publication on our Website and Company Notice board

In Numbers
In February 2010, Triumph was announced as a successful bidder and was awarded the right to negotiate with Kenya Power and Lighting Company (“Kenya Power”) to design, finance, supply, erect, commission, operate and maintain an 83 MW heavy fuel oil-fired power plant.
Plant Configuration
The plant configuration consists of ten Hyundai 18V32/40 engine generating units. The station also is equipped with a Steam Turbine unit for additional generating efficiency. The net output of the project is 83MW.
